Later on in the summer, Field Daze welcomes the return of the Valley's beloved Caritas Chorale directed by R.L. Hunter – A Case For the Existence of God - directed by Paul Lazar. With a view of Bald Mountain forming a backdrop for the audience, Field Daze Event Series co-founders Cathy Reinheimer & Lila Claghorn are thrilled to kick off Field Daze second summer season! We have a jam-packed open-air live summer schedule which will open with a workshop production of the new play, from Idaho playwright and MacArthur genius award winner Samuel D. Lila completed her undergraduate work at Trinity College earning a BA in Music & Theatre. Highlights at Lincoln Center include The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Coppelia. Lila’s entertainment career began on the stage with the New York City Ballet. Lila has contributed extensively to writing for print and digital, including Yahoo, Bobbi Brown and Sara Bliss' T ake the Leap. As a producer, Lila recently completed development on the feature queer romcom Last First Crush with Black List writer and GLAAD award winner Becca Roth and Celey Schumer, and continues to develop Swan Dive (based on Vanity Fair’s article of the same name) with producer Serena Turner, an hour long drama The Deal with Ileen Maisel and Maia Glikman based on Adam Gittlan’s novel series of the same title, and Genevieve Adams’ latest feature project Simchas & Sorrows, and a few others. Select projects include the feature drama Breakout set in the world of women’s ice hockey, a half hour comedy Inconceivable about women’s fertility and the drug trade, an UNTITLED British all girl Spy-academy period drama based on Ying Lee’s The Agency, and the animated children’s series Randimals with Chemically Altered Productions). As a writer, Lila has a diverse array of projects currently in development for both television and film. Additionally, Lila can currently be heard as the voice of various animated characters in the children's scripted podcast GoKidGo, Ford Motor Vehicles, and Hulu. She performed extensively across North America, opposite Brooks Ashmanskas, Debra Jo Rupp, Mia Barron and David Pittu, directed by award winners John Rando and Michael Greif. Lila has performed on numerous Broadway Studio Cast Recordings (PS Classics) opposite Broadway veterans Kate Baldwin, Danny Burstein, Marin Mazzie and Rebecca Luker and more. She performs regularly at The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, Broadway Comedy Club, The Comedy Cellar and Upright Citizens Brigade. Feature work includes projects for CBS Films, David Grubin and Rule 7. As an actor, Lila’s screen work includes projects for ABC, Universal, Lifetime, Hulu, Plan B, Youtube Originals and Funny or Die. Lila Claghorn is a freelance producer, writer and actor/comedian working in both Los Angeles and New York.
